I just received this from Pub Pals via Steve Wakefield, thought I would post it for anyone that knew him.

I don't know if you knew, or any of your members on your site knew, but my cousin Keith Richard Hughes, aka "Spud" and "Spike", sadly collapsed and died on the 8th of October.
He was a Techboy, born 1945 so I guess some of your members who were there in the 50s may have known him. Maybe the 1956 intake?
We had his funeral yesterday, probably the most massive turnout I have ever seen at a funeral, which was comforting, but I wondered if you could just pop something on your web pages for me.

We are an extended family - from Hughes Greengrocers, hence his nickname "spud". At 64 poor devil never got to claim his pension
In addition I am tentatively making steps towards another meeting in Feb/March. I am hoping to make it all inclusive so perhaps some of your members from earlier years may care to attend.
I notice that some have found their way across to the Pubpals website - I'd really like to check into yours but can't quite figure out what I have to do. If you have an easy system to log in etc if you'd let me know.
