Ooh !!! There's a memory you've just conjured Bill ! Horrible sticky rugger boots twice a week !! Them wooly socks did itch a bit but my dear Mother got me a nice smooth pair from Moore's I think it was and...... made some rather fetching garters to hold them up. Such luxury!!

Garters! Rich, I hope you weren't in the scrum, I do remember playing a match where someone on the opposing side used scented talcum powder, every time the scrum formed we cracked up, never won a scrum all afternoon, chemical warfare I reckon.

Ooohh, scented talcum powder eh !! You must have been playing King Edward's that day....lovely boys !! As for my "garters," just cheap knicker elastic, nothing remotely erotic and yes..........I was tight head prop !!

Actually Rich I played for KES Old Boys, it was my boss of the time's fault. I was loose head, so we've nearly got a front row.
