By way of explanation for my absence for the past few days, sorry about the headline, sez and drugs are in no way involved.I'm suffering, took my Mrs to Plymouth the other night to see Paul Weller, she's got a bit of a thing about St.Paul of Woking, so I bought her tickets for Christmas, that might seem a bit cheap but I did buy her a new handle for her broomstick as well. To get back to the plot, now she won't stand quietly at the back and applaud gently, i has to be down the front in the mosh pit with the other lunatics going bananas, anyway I've realised that at my advanced age crowd surfing should be kept to the barest minimum, and to cut a long story short I've put me shoulder out, aggrevated an old racing injury, and consequently as well as being deaf, hoarse, (spirited rendition of "Eton Rifles"), I'm in considerable pain, if your responce is serves you right I can only heartily concur, won't be doing that again, well not till the next time at least.

Lesson learnt then is it? I should knock the lively stuff in the head if I were you!! Take in a nice Bach concert with a nice wine to follow, much nicer. I do sympathise just a bit, well, as much as you did with my cider athletics last week, but the old body won't keep up with the mind will it ? My days of charging up to the front like the old Pavilion days of yore are long gone. These days it's Steely Dan at the Birmingam NEC, seated, way back and I might as well have been at home with the headphones on !!!!
I hope you soon recover........"THIS IS THE MODERN WORLD" Yeah, go for it !!!

Lesson learnt? for about five minutes I spose Rich, I can't help myself really, couple of power chords, ears ringing, internal organs vibrating and I'm away. Still next one's the Zombies. that's a sit down, as are Gary Moore and George Thorogood so I'll probably be allright, although I've just got tickets for the Dave Matthews Band at Brixton Academy in June, that's a stand up and they're a bit lively so I'd better get into training now. I did say to Shirl that it's about time we stood nearer the back, and fully intended to, but you know how it is. same as being in the pub, "I'll just have one more." fatal last words.
