Hello Rich, I hope your return to work wasn't to much of an ordeal, I'm afraid that I've reverted to childhood, well never left really, and bought myself an electric guitar, wonderful place e bay. Had a busy week really, bought a petrol strimmer as well, brand new £10.50, now all I need is the camcorder & amp I been keeping an eye on and I'll have had a great week. Been baking as well, haven't got a bread maker though, Shirl told me the kneeding was good for me, and seeing as a bread maker wouldn't be a toy I'll leave it alone.
Reading back through the discussions, your exploits outside of the Nova Scotia remimded me of an incident on holiday a couple of years ago, in Uzbekistan, a majority muslim country, on our last night with our driver, Sergei a gentleman of Russian origin, we invited him out to dinner with us, he agreed as long as he could buy the Vodka, word of warning - DO NOT DRINK VODKA WITH RUSSIANS - warning ends, two bottles of Urgench's finest later, this after several beers, feeling extremely convivial, Shirl's legs gave way in the middle of the street, I had visions of seeing the inside of a Central Asian prison cell for the next few years, or deportation with disgrace at the very least, fortunately apart from a few stiff glances from the hotel staff we made it back to our room and relative safety, strangely enough I didn't have a hangover, she did.
Roger and Lesley Coombes get about a bit don't they, I suppose they're off on some jaunt now, I seem to remember Roger saying they were going to be abroad for a bit, hope we get a report when they return.
Just booked ours for this year, will probably be our last big trip, having to sell the body for medical science as it is, hope they give me the money before they start playing with it. We're going back to China, north this time, from Beijing to Xian then through the Taklamakan to Turpan and Kashgar before doing some of the Karakorum Highway into Kyrgystan before coming home from Bishkek. We always planned on doing it in two halves, still won't see it all, need a couple of lifetimes for that.

Oh well back to e bay. Stu

Hi Ruch, .well, relish everything I do Rich..and the white bread mix has just gone into the breadmaker ..in the microwave is the fruits of our labours from the back garden .. redcurrants ..white currants, raspberries .. and a few froxen strawberries ..(yes you can freeze them) ..crumble .. enough for at least four servings ..mmm . now form an orderly queue , and no pushing at the back....share and share alike ..my motto .. and I do like to flex the old grey cells as well as the muscles .. highway code update , and dvd for the driving test , theory, hazzard awareness etc ..makes your eyes go proper square it does..still keeps the brain sharp...(ish)

Hi Stu, I would imagine it would be alifetime trying to investigate China, from the air it`s bad enough..but on the ground .. must be a nightmare .. still, what else have you left to do? .. oh apart from glueing yourself in front of E-Bay enjoying some "boot sale priced" retail therapy .. I`ve just been out with "she who must be obeyed"..well, I allow it on weekends only, as long as I get the rest of the week to do what I want.. we have just decided on a new "resin" shed to keep our push bikes in, they are the "foldup" variety, but SUCH a PAIN to keep taking down and up .. so as I have promised to finish building the new shed decking pergola and summer house at the top of the garden..our old wooden shed (30years + old) is overdue for demolition (roof now looks like "slalom" run ..)
